Avenue Stores, LLC

UPDATE 10/7/2019

On October 2, 2019, Raisner Roupinian LLP filed a class action suit against Avenue Stores, LLC, Ornatus URG Holdings, LLC, Ornatus URG Real Estate, LLC, and Ornatus URG Gift Cards, LLC, (“Avenue Stores”) seeking to recover 60 days wages and benefits for former Rochelle Park, New Jersey employees under the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (“WARN”) Act and the New Jersey WARN Act (the “WARN Acts”). The case is pending in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

If this mass layoff affected you, Raisner Roupinian LLP can provide you with updated information regarding your rights in this case. Generally, the WARN Acts require companies to provide their employees with 60 days written notice in advance of a mass layoff or plant closing. In the absence of such notice, employers may be liable to each affected employee for 60 days wages and benefits under the federal WARN Act, or one week of severance pay for each year of employment under the New Jersey WARN Act.
