KENDALL N. ONYENDU is an associate at Outten & Golden LLP, and a member of the firm’s Individual Practice Group and the Whistleblower and Retaliation Practice Group. Prior to joining the firm in 2019, Ms. Onyendu worked as the Georgetown Women’s Law and Public Policy Fellow at the Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs where her practice focused on employment justice, including discrimination and harassment matters. Ms. Onyendu received her B.A. from the University of Southern California in 2011, her M.A. from Columbia University in 2012, and her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 2018,  where she served as a staff editor of the Texas Journal for Civil Liberties and Civil Rights, a board member of Texas Law Fellowships and a William Wayne Justice Public Service Scholar. During law school, Ms. Onyendu interned at the Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights, the Brennan Center for Justice and the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia. She was a student attorney in the UT Law Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic, conducted research on housing related community development for Professor Heather K. Way, as well as directed research under Professors Traci McCormack and Mechele Dickerson. Prior to law school, Ms. Onyendu worked in higher education administration.
